Jumble Trail 2019
Saturday 14 September - 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm£5
The Wanstead Fringe Jumble Trail is a great opportunity to have a good de-clutter, make some money and meet people. The more stalls on your street, the more visitors you’ll have, so get your friends and neighbours involved.
Last year the Trail was HUGE, with 130 stalls all around Wanstead.
It’s £5 to register and bookings received by 7 August will be added to the Jumble Trail map which will be included in the Fringe programme distributed to all homes in Wanstead. Bookings after this date will still appear on the live online Jumble Trail map.
Please note in the event of rain, stall fees are non-refundable, but in previous years people have made the best of the conditions, setting up under gazebos and in their garages.
There’s a real sense of environmental awareness in the community and this year’s Wanstead Fringe hopes to reflect that by bringing a greater purpose to The Jumble Trail. The Trail encourages everyone to reuse household items and keep them in use for longer. This year, however, it will also introduce new opportunities to repair and recycle too.
An expert team of seamstresses will have needles at the ready to treat split seams, care for wonky buttons and reinvigorate worn elbow patches. If there are any Cubs, Scouts, Brownies or Guides in your household you may also be interested in their badge sewing-on amnesty.
The Fringe is going green in other ways too. Look out for the plant clinic hosted by Wanstead Community Gardeners. They will answer any questions you have about your indoor or outdoor plants and also hold a Succulent planting workshop for under 10’s.
Other stops on the Trail will be confirmed in the next few weeks, but we hope to include a bicycle doctor and a repair workshop.
